De uit San Francisco afkomstige T-Bone heeft een CD uitgebracht die wel revolutionair mag worden genoemd in het rijtje Christelijke rap- CD's. T-Bone beschikt over verschillende stijlen.

T-Bone's Redeemed Hoodlum, while kind of old now, is still a pretty good buy. T-Bone was the first "gangsta" Christian rap artist I ever heard. Known for his lyrical speed when saying his rhymes, T-Bone goes all out for the Lord in his raps. A pioneer in Christian rap music.

T Bone comes with a new style, letting the world know how some gospel rappers are not lifting up jesus anymore. T Bone really takes to heart how he was talked about and back stabbed by so called christians and friends in the music inderstry. Gospel rap used to be about soul saving, but just like all areas of christain music some people have gotten into it for fame and money, forgetting about JESUS.

Tha Redeemed Hooldum's third album is sure to get headz talkin. This album reflects T-Bone's growth as a lyricist and Chase's growth as a producer. Every beat is nothin but tight. Now there's something you don't find on the average Christian rap album. The first cut "Straighten It Out" is a third yet still distinct and moving call for peace in the streets like its predecessors "Too Many Pleitos" and "Divided We Fall." Songs like "Ministry vs. Industry" and "Demon Excecutor" are gonna force dat head to bob. "Puttin It Down" and "Kill tha Lies" are surely gonna get the dance floors everywhere hoppin. Bone's new crew, Organized Rhyme, shine on the last jam named after his new found hip hop family. However, to his tighter beats and new level of skills there is a down side. First of all, he still bitin. I thought he had finally gotten away from that on "Tha Life of a Hoodlum" (a very tight album I might add). He's gone from a Cypress Hill/Das Efx flow to Snoop/Tupac. Now all us holy hip hoppers know that Bone's skill are superior to those of the forementioned MC's and that he dosen't not need to lower himself to the level of biting again that a number of Christian rappers have been known for. Secondly, and most importantly, that beef between T-Bone and LPG is still alive and well. After hearing the album the listener may wonder if it is dedicated to dissin' the Tunnel Rat Family. Check the songs "Kill tha Lies", "Puttin It Down", and "Organized Rhyme", among others and you'll see what I mean. And after hearing statements like "I got this industry locked down" or "while I'm tourin' on my bus they steady tourin' on a greyhound" or "I beat MC's like Cain did to Abel", one may even wonder if T has lost his focus concerning ministry and has gotten on a power trip. Nothin' wrong with battlin', but if it's only for the purpose of tearin down the family of God, I ain't wit it. All in all the album was tight. It's a must have for 1997 (if you can endure the beef and the bitin).

Hot hits from tha hottest Christian rapsta! "Throwin' Out The Wicked" has been in the Top Five on the Pure Rock Report since September!. T-Bone is not only one of the most legit artists in his genre, he's also highly in demand as a producer, working with dozens of artists in and out of the Christian music scene.

T-Bone's Tha Life Of A Hoodlum is his second record and it is alright. He incorperates a lot of bass and speedy lyrics, that include the gospel, but some of the tracks, I believe run too long. However, don't shortcut T-Bone he is still one of the best out there and worth buying.(I think the first cd was better.)

My name is Tim Tack a.k.a. Tack-Fu. After about 8 month of studio work, Tack-Fu Productions is proud to announce that it's debut CD project "Yen & Slang" is complete. It features 14 tracks with 9 different MC's and DJ's from the Iowa City area. The project was funded solely by the artists with no label support.
This is one of the main reasons why I'm reaching out to the on-line hip-hop commmunity first. Currently there is a lot of dialouge over the internet highway about what's commerical and what's underground. Many people have different opinions, but to me, real underground is a whole different vibe and approach to how the music is produced and made available to the public. To sum it up, untraditional methods. I believe "underground" is a way of handling your art. Artists band together, assume creative control of their own material and also act as promoter/distributer of their own product, instead of getting pimped by the industry. The industry could care less about the hip-hop culture. I think that's pretty much a given. It's about the money. We here at Tack-Fu Productions, on the other hand, use your contributions to recoup studio recording expenses, manufacturing costs, and use what is left over to give back to the underground (pruchasing ICU tapes for example) It's like a complete circle. Because it's about the art first.
I'm asking only 10 bucks for a copy of the CD which will also cover shipping and handling. Personally I think "Yen & Slang" is the joint, However, don't take my word for it, check out the full track on the web site in wav file format. (recorded on 8 bit sound card, not reflective of the quality) Peep pictures of the crew and pick up some tips on production also.
One last thing, if your thinking, "another money grubber asking for the ducats again," let me address that right now. That is not what this is about. This is about proving a point. It's about taking hip-hop back to it's roots where the art was the main focus. (not what Puffy, his satanic partner Mase and Master Piss would have you believe) This is not about huge distribution networks like Sam Goody or Wal Mart. This is not about slick looking videos and hi-tech images on MTV and BET. This is not what you're going to read about in Source and Rap Pages...this IS the pure underground hip-hop by regular folks that work paycheck to paycheck like the rest of us poor slobs, that saved the money, got together in the studio, and kicked some live stuff. I will stand behind and stake my personal reputation on the line with this release. I also predict that "Yen & Slang" will become a collecters item in two years....Thank you for your time and peace, Tack-Fu

Tre-9

Thy Kingdom Come EP
Released: 1999
Label: Much Luvv Records

Tre-9 came to know the Lord in 1993, but he came to the mic in '87.

Tre sends a strong and direct message to his Christian family, conclusively telling them to seek God's instruction. Positive responses have been given to Tre-9 from believers who say they've had past struggles within the body, in confronting their fears and dealing with those who've hurt them.

As well, this rapper makes faith music for street hustlers, gang lifers, and young up-and-comings who could be about to make turns for the worst.

Tre is the positive hip hop alternative preachers and parents constantly complain does not exist. And his vow is to exclaim his "much luvv" affirmation to all who will survey.

"Thy Kingdom Come" is his first solo offering.

Sir Fish (a.k.a. Prime Minister) and Pooh deliver that mid-west sound that has captured the nation by storm. True ministers of the gospel, True*II*Society had headlined with top acts such as Heavy D., Bobby Brown, Geto Boys and many more. They have been featured on the albums "Prime Time" by Prime Minister and on "Good vs. Evil" by Antonious, as well as being featured on the Blockbuster "Muzik Ta Ride 2 Volume III." On "What Ch’all Wanna Do?," True*II*Society flexes vocal and talents, lyrical insights and presents a polished, well-rounded and solid ministry.

It looks like Hip Hop is back and better than ever! lets get things squared away first. Tunnel Rats is a CREW not a group. The Tunnel Rats consists of many groups. The ones that appeared on this album are: Raphi, Zane, LPG, and FutureShock. This album was produced by the ingenious Peace586. Tunnel Rats is probably the first crossover for a record label to appear in an underground setting. For the people that say Christian music sucks, I am sorry to say this has not matched the talent of secular groups, but has surpassed it times one thousand. Buy this one if it is the last CD you ever buy in your life. Maybe you will learn to batlle or breakdance.

Experience is one of the best Christian Rap CDs I've heard. This one may take the crown from the CMC's. Tremendous rapping skills are possessed by this group and it comes through in every song. My favorite, Zane, has two songs where she does more damage than a Japanese Tsunami. LPG, Peace, Future Shock, Zane, and Rarhi compose the Tunnel Rats. Enough already, if you don't get this CD you're either deaf or dead!
