Review:In the mid to late 70's, when hip-hop first sprang on the scene. coming up in rough Oak Cliff neighborhoods and West Dallas projects was hard, and Barry began growing up to be "nothin' but a hoodlum." In 1986, at the age of 16, Barry found a unique escape in hip-hop when he formed the rap group P.I.D. Barry's group recorded their first album, and were an overnight sensation. After three releases, over 150,000 album sales and worldwide tours, the group began to focus more on entertainment, Barry, being committed to youth ministry, decided to separate and become a youth pastor, where he would have direct influences on individual lives. While off the stage for four years, he was not off the scene! Barry developed even tighter production skills and kept a keen ear to the street. Now Barry G is back up in yo face representin' with "Rugged Witness."
