Slaughter. He was born and raised in Queens, New York. Sean
feels that he fills the communication gap, parents, kids and
young people feel today between them.
Choice
Although he was raised in a christian family he didn't make
a choice for Christ immediately. At the age of 16 and by the
time he graduated high school, he was a drunk, smoked drugs
and was a thief with a felony on his record. But he
eventually turned to God for help with the problems he
encountered in his life.
Africa
The artist will return to Africa in 2007. Sean Slaughter is
going to visit Nairobi, Kenya. As the MC states: "I've been
to Africa and South Africa on many occasions but never like
this. Most of the ministry I've done in Africa has been
church based ministry, but this is so much more. We will
connect with the people in their homes, on their streets, in
their neighborhoods."
Life Changing
Sean continues by saying: "And it will be powerful and life
changing, not only for the people, but for us as well. The
first time I visited Uganda, Africa, my life as a Christian
changed. I've never seen a people so spiritually determined
in a land that is so physically underdeveloped. I don't know
what to expect in Kenya, but I imagine I will come home
again with a thirst to know God more than ever before."
Albums
His first album "And justice for all" got released in 1999.
Two years later his sophomore recording "The world is not
enough" (2001) saw the light.
Special Projects
For the Just Add Water Tour, which took place from September
2006 through January 2, 2007 the MC teams up with Rhythm &
Praise artist Mona J to release the record "Just Add Water"
in September 2006.
New projects
On December 17th, 2007 the MC announces a new album entitled
"Man On Fire" for 2008. |
