Mississippi is the first holy hip hop artist on the black
Gospel oriented Malaco records label. His album John
Miller's Son... : Still Preachin' is released in September
2005.
Full Time Pastor
Tim Miller grew up in rural Mississippi with twelve brothers
and sisters. Life centered around Christ and family and the
lessons learned in that house of love are what he strives to
bring to the people as a full time pastor and a rapper.
He's been a minister since the early nineteen nineties and
leads the congregation of Candlelight Ministies in his home
town.
Independant
Da Minista is also CEO of FTAJ Entertainment; FTAJ is an
acronym for his wife and three children (pronounced F-TAhJ),
and is the company that produced his music and booked his
concerts before he signed to the Malaco Records label in
June of 2005.
Family
Supporting Da Minista in his work is his wife Felicia
Miller, with whom he has three children Timmie Jr., Jessica
and Amari.
Albums
His first album is Can't keep me down. He then releases
through his own private label "John Miller's Son". These
two albums would lay the foundation for his 2005 Malaco
Records album, John Miller's Son...Still preachin'. |
