| Info: | James Wade from New York is Jaawt. The first person who
encouraged Jaawt to rap was his track coach in 5th grade.
Since then he has enjoyed a formal music education
throughout his middle and high school years.
Instrument
During this time he has become a proficient trumpet, tuba,
trombone, and baritone player. During Jaawt's high school
year, he performed in the Atlanta Jazz Festival for two
consecutive years.
Beat Making
Nearing the end of his high school career, he was introduced
to beat making and rapping by one of his friends from
church, Larry Dupard. Since then Jaawt has ripped mic's at
the ISM (Inline Student ministries) of World Changers Church
International, Churches in Manhattan, Long Island, and in
Philadelphia.
Influenced
While Jaawt is originally from Texas, his musical style is
influenced by Atlanta's sound. Jaawt also strives to make
not only beats, but dynamic music the human ears have yet to
experience. Since he does not listen to secular rap, he is
not influenced by the modern commercial norm of the
industry.
Album
Jaawt will release his debut album "Follow The Son" in the
Spring of 2007. |
