Info:Cesaron White of Saint Louis, Missouri is Common Man.

Artist name
The name has many inspirations all rooted to the fact that the original 12 disciples of Jesus Christ were common people. He found his passion and received his calling for this art and ministry while still in the United States Air Force. The most notable trait observed during his term of service was his uplifted, positive and people oriented demeanor. Those facets of his personality are just as tangible in song as they are in person.

Name Change?
On June 4th, 2009 Common Man publishes a blog announcing he might consider a new name Magmatic. As the rapper explains: "[...] God has been working with me and challenging me on some things. After a Wednesday night church service, [...] He spoke to me clearly. [...] He said that it's time to move. Really, it was past time, but I needed to stop resisting... I was walking through Walmart or somewhere and this is what came to me: Magmatic. "What the heck is that?" Yeah, it's pretty simple. In case you don't know what Magma is -it's the same as Lava except it hasn't come out of the Earth.

The Rock
"It's the hottest liquid imaginable, but it's only hot because of the source. If not for that source, it would just be an immobile rock. Well, my source is God. You and I (just like magma/lava) get colder the further away we go from the source. We get rigid and change from how the source made us.
As Christians, God injects us with His spirit and it effects the way we move, act and react to things. {PS: Magma is like the blood of the Earth, a mixture of melted rock, our Rock is Jesus who lives in us (2Sa 22:47 The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.) KJV}

Hip Hop?
After being seen in a local Christian bookstore open mic session, local Holy Hip Hop giant NameLess sought to develop the skills and focus further and contributed to a sound distinctively christian, however appealing to the listener of any background. When asked "have you always been into Hip Hop" the knee-jerk response is "believe it or not, I used to hate it.

Country
Back in the day when I lived in California... I only listened to country. That lasted until I moved to Houston. Performance-wise, I began singing gospel, and I still do. I perform Hip Hop because there is so much more that can be said, you never know what that next thing is that will spark a Christ-centered and life changing decision in a listener's life."

Influences
In reference to style -not content, Common Man was once influenced by Andre 3000, Rakim, and De La Soul. When the point came to change listening preferences, he began to gravitate more toward the music of John Reuben, Thousand Foot Krutch, and LA Symphony. The closest relation to his final sound is Craig Nice.

Tool
Cesaron White remains steadfast and eager to be the tool God uses to reach that next person with his music.
