Releases: | [The Train Is Coming] [The Billy Shakesperian Experience (mixtape)] | Info: | Max Deizal also known as Deizal Phluid, currently residing
in Chicago, Illinois. He was part of the Grapetree Records
duo The Truth and is still active as a solo artist.
Streets
As an 1980s baby, Max Deizal realized early what he wanted
to do. At the age of 10, young Brian Keith Ewing II began
rapping but like most inner city adolescents, he was enticed
by the streets. Brian accepted everything the streets had to
offer and at the age 13 he joined the notorious street gang
the Gangster Disciples and at the age of 15 he started
hustling.
Rap
His rapping became a pastime while passing away the time on
the corner. Brian, then known as "R.O.T." The Reign Of
Terror, continued free styling and serving for the next 6
years. In high school, Brian began battling fellow
classmates at lunchtime to the pounding of cafeteria tables.
And it was from those battles that he befriended a fellow
rapper named Isaiah Zeke Russell and the two formed the
group, The Platoon. Later that year, the two had their first
performance at the schools talent show and The Platoon
officially went to war.
Gospel Rap
But in 1999, Brian was asked by his aunt to make up a gospel
rap for a program at church. As Brian wrote the song, he
began to feel convicted and realized that it was time for a
serious change. And after performing that song, God revealed
to him what his purpose was and he continued to stay in that
vein.
The truth
After persuading Isaiah to do the same, the duo changed the
name of their group to, "The Truth", and opened for acts
such as, Elder De' Andre Patterson, Kevin Gray, New
Direction, The Lights of Zion Mimes, Ray Bady and Jennifer
Hudson.
Graptetree Records
In 2001, The Truth performed on Catalyst Music newest
artist, Breathe Easy's debut album, Baby Food. After their
offering on the CD, they were asked by Catalyst Music;s CEO
Byron "Marod" Gregory to sign with the label. The Truth
declined the offer but received another offer from Knolly
"Rubabdub" Williams, CEO of Grapetree Records after hearing
a 3-song demo they had sent them. The Truth signed with
Grapetree Records and in 2002, The Truth released their
debut, "The Truth Hurts".
Rights
Unfortunately, later that year Grapetree Records folded and
not only did the label fold but The Truth also unknowingly
signed away the rights to their name, songs and album to
Knolly Williams.
Shelved Album
So in 2004, The Truth officially changed their name to Max
and Zeke, and joined The Keyz2Life Production Company and
created their sophomore LP, "Christ Music". But due to the
financial backing and lack of marketing, the album was never
released and Max and Zeke became frustrated and over the
next couple of months severed their ties.
Solo
After the separation of Max and Zeke, Max didn't know
whether to continue rapping or call it a day. So after a
short hiatus, the self proclaimed Last Dragon, refocused his
mission and in 2005 began working on his solo debut,
"Against The Grain", however that too was never released due
to financial backing and lack of marketing.
Mixtapes
Deizal didn't let that stop him from releasing what was
destine to be heard, In March 2008 Deizal finished his
street mixtape "The Train Is Coming", and now the streets
will finally hear what Deizal has been preparing in the lab.
People get ready there is a Train Coming!
New Project
The MC is already working on a follow up for his first
mixtape, entitled "The Billy Shakesperian Experience". |
