| Info: | The crew W4C, which stands for Warriors for Christ, consists
of:
- Danny Fresh - MC
- Peter Pan - DJ
- Ruben Rodriguez - producer
The hip hop crew can also perform accompanied by a live
band.
MC
The lead MC of the crew Danny Fresh is also active as a solo
artist, since 2006.
DJ
Peter Pan is the DJ of W4C, but also the live DJ during the
concerts of Danny Fresh, since 2006. Peter has his own
online radioprogram called: RapReload on the Online Radio
Channel: CrossChannel.de. Plus he gives hip hop seminars and
presentations at schools and youth centers.
Producer
The producer of the group is Ruben, also known as
Rnrfactory. The W4C beatmaker studies at the Popakademie
Baden Württemberg.
History
The crew is probably the oldest christian hip hop group of
Germany, which was founded in 1993. Ruben and Peter Pan met
each other in a cafe close to the city of Stuttgart and
decided to make hip hop music together. Two weeks later a
friend introduced his brother Danny Fresh, and hence W4C was
born. In the Autumn of 2003 the crew celebrated their 10
year anniversary in the club Universum in Stuttgart.
Language
The group started rapping in English, as heard on "Not 2
diss U" (1998), but they would change that on their second
full length album "O.S.T. : Original Soundtrack" (2001) to
their native language German.
Label
W4C founded their own label Set Free Entertainment and
released two compilations: In Sachen HipHop Volume I (2002)
and II (2004).
Albums
After several EP's, Lord Take Care (1994) and W4C (1997),
the crew released their first full length album "Not 2 diss
U" on Pila Music in 1997. In 2001 the sophomore album
"O.S.T. : Original Soundtrack" was released and their most
recent album is "Immer Noch" of 2005.
