| Info: | Efrain Alicea is Brother E, from the Bronx, New York. He is
the archetype of Gospel Hip Hop Ministry. He executes his
lyrics with precision and an explosion of energy for his
love for Jesus Christ. His performances are compelling; a
composite of rap and the 'spoken word' of God that makes
young people sit up and take notice.
Witness
Since 1993 he has witnessed thousands of youth come to the
saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through Gospel Hip-Hop. He
believes in the importance of reaching youth by "speaking
their language." Brother E considers himself an
urban-evangelist.
Bronx
Brother E is a member of Crossroads Tabernacle
[http://www.crossroadstabernacle.com]. He has been a Sunday
School Teacher and Youth Director at Iglesia Sion
Pentecostal, as well as a Fine Arts Coordinator for both the
Bronx Section and the District Youth Ministries of the
S.E.D. of the Assemblies of God. Brother E is an honors
graduate from the Spanish Eastern District (S.E.D.) of the
Assemblies of God Bronx Bible Institute.
Student
Currently, he is studying at Columbia University. In
addition, he attends the School of Urban Evangelism (S.U.E.)
at Crossroads Tabernacle, a gathering of evangelistic-minded
brethren who study how to make a spiritual difference in
this world.
Rap Fest
Brother E serves as the Assistant Coordinator of the
organization known as Rap Fest, now in its 11th year of
existence [http://www.rapfest2000.com]. Rap Fest is a free,
open air, Gospel Hip-Hop event held in the South Bronx. Not
only does Rap Fest draw outstanding Gospel Rap Ministers,
such as him, from all over the world, but thousands of
on-lookers as well. Today, Rap Fest\'s attendance is
estimated at 5,000 people.
