Info:Philip Bryce Jacobs also known as Sharp Skills was born October 9, 1984 in Inglewood, California. From a young age, God had a strong calling and anointing on his life.

Different Direction
Sharp Skills comes from a long line of preachers, pastors, psalmists, and evangelists. Yet at age 11, he decided that he wanted to go a different direction. As the MC states: I didn't want to be no preacher, I wanted to do my own thing.

Rebel
So he began to rebel. Philip was often sent home from school or in detention for fighting, cursing out teachers, and other forms of terrible behavior.

Destructive Elements
This newly acquired behavior shortly began to manifest itself in alcohol abuse, smoking weed, gang affiliation, shoplifting, reckless sexual activity, and a host of other destructive elements.

Omaha
The MC tells: Some days I could here my moms crying and praying for me, she didn't raise me to be no thug. It got to the point where she was ready to leave me in Los Angeles and bounce to Omaha with my stepfather. I would've felt the same way dealing with me back then.

Relocating
Sharp Skills and his family relocated to Omaha, Nebraska when he was a freshman in high school. Though he left Los Angeles behind, his destructive habits still followed him. Yet God still kept his hand on his life and protected him from himself.

Prophecy
A pastor prophesied that he would preach when he was thirteen and God confirmed this prophecy one sleepless night when he was sixteen. God finally got his attention that he wasn't playing with him when he had his third near death experience.

Seattle
When God moved he and his family to Seattle, Sharp Skills came into a real relationship with Jesus. Sharp-Skills stepped into the light of Jesus Christ and truly accepted him into his heart July of 2003 at a Tonex concert.

Youth Minister
He accepted his call to preach October 7, 2003, two days before his 19th birthday. He is currently the youth minister of Walker Chapel A.M.E. in Seattle. He is on the honor society at Highline Community College and will shortly be receiving his Associates of Arts Degree.

Name
The name Sharp Skills comes from the fact he believes in being precise and on point with whatever he puts his hands to.

Music
Other than creating classic hip hop, his main purpose and goal is to be an agent of change in his generation and introduce the lost to Christ. Sharp Skills is focused on being at the forefront on the Hip Hop scene in both secular and gospel.

TV
An exclusive track of Sharp Skills called 'Ready For War' is featured on the hit Fox show Bones. The track made it on the February 14th, 2007 episode "'The Man in the Mansion".

Albums
In 2005 Sharp Skills released his debut "The Responsibility of Sharp Skills" soon to be followed by his sophomore recording "Revolution Music : Mixtape Volume 1" in 2006. A Volume 3 of the mixtape series is released in 2007.

New Project
The MC announces on September 5th, 2007 a new album "The Campaign". This record is released in 2008.
