| Shabach |
| | Country: | United States |
Info: | Shabach was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was introduced to
rap music by his older brother and producer, Mapptracks.
Early influences include: The Beastie Boys, DJ Jazzy Jeff &
the Fresh Prince, Kriss Kross, Kool G Rap, Nas, and Rakim.
He recorded his first demo at 11 years old, then started
looking for record deals on his own.
Artist Sin
He eventually became known in his neighborhood as being the
"next big thing". "Sin", as he was professionally known as,
landed a record deal on a subsidiary label of Universal
Music Group. His music started to play in regular rotation
on major radio programs, and his name, "Sin", became street
credible. But what happened next in his life though was
bigger than his street credibility, his record deal, and
even his record spins on the radio.
Holy Spirit
"Sin" found himself sitting in New Destiny Christian Center
in Orlando, Florida one sunday morning where the Holy Spirit
was speaking through their senior Pastor, Dr. Zachary Tims.
Being raised in a christian home, attending church as a
child, and above all, the prayers of his family, his body
went through a spiritual battle as he sat in the chair. He
felt the Holy Spirit was at work, and he also knew that it
was time to leave his old nature behind. "Sin" was no more
on that morning of November 17, 2002.
New album
Shabach was born, hence the album title: "From Sin to
Shabach...the Rebirth" released in 2005. |
