Releases: | [Float or Flail] [The Proletariat LP] [Cool-School Geek-Rap BackPack Weird-Core : The Mixtape] | Info: | Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta. He is representing his young
and vibrant local and national scene with fresh beats and
progressive lyricism that builds and edifies the listeners'
mind and spirit.
Style
The Joe uses a wealth of wordplay and a rich, complex
vernacular to communicate who he is. A child of God with
deep insights and a unique sense of humor, he translates his
eccentric personality into cryptic rhyme schemes. He finds
inspiration in all things, from the Bible, to a homonym, to
a quirky vocal sample. He calls his music "Neapolitan"
because it has all kinds of different flavors; from the
eternal plot of mankind, to social injustice, to strange
idiosyncrasies in a close friend?s character.
Fun
He tries to invoke that special feeling of down-home family
fun. To quote The Joe, "I just wanna craft raps for all my
special power rangers with a pension for funky fresh."
Albums
In 2006 the MC released his debut album called The
Proletariat LP. The Joe only has distribution in Canada by
CMC Distribution.

The record The Proletariat LP won a Covenant Award in the
category Best Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year at the annual
ceremony held by the Gospel Music Association Canada on
Friday October 27th, 2006.
