Releases: | [Never Too Late] [Plenty Past Time] | Info: | Antoine Rhodes from Chicago is Judah Man. When he was a
young teen, he was already involved in one of Chicago’s
biggest street gangs, the gangster disciples and dealing
drugs. In October 1994, four months after high school
graduation, he was arrested and sent to Cook County
Correctional Center.
Solitary confinement
At the time, nobody realized it but this was a blessing in
disguise. Shortly after entering Cook County, he was sent to
solitary confinement for 29 days for contraband in a penal
institutional. Only 5 days after being released from
solitary, he was sent back for 29 more for fighting the
correctional officers. These 58 days would change his life
forever.
Spirit
While in solitary, the Spirit of the Lord challenged him to
choose life or death. Judah began reading God’s word and by
the time he was released from solitary he was a new man. He
dropped his flags and left the gang behind. Even though
Judah repented, he still had to finish his sentence. He used
this time to strengthen himself spiritually, mentally and
physically to prepare for the outside world.
Inmates
He was also involved in spreading the Word to help other
inmates find their salvation. By the time he was released in
1997, he had earned an associates degree and was a strong
man of God.
In 1999, God brought Judah to a point where he believed that
he was strong enough to accept his true calling.
Ministry
God revealed to Judah that his success in the ministry would
come by reaching out to those currently in the lifestyle
that he was delivered from and that he would reach people
who would never step inside of a church. This is when the
name JudahMan was born and his gospel rap ministry began.
Ashes
JudahMan testifies: “He turned my misery into a ministry, my
mess into a message, my trash into treasure, and has given
me His beauty for ashes.
