| Info: | Lighthouse Ministries was started by the passion of a couple
of young men and has blossomed to include over 75 young men
and women all across the country, that actually go into the
neighborhoods of their respective cities and develop a
relationship with the young people that are stricken with no
hope.
Beacons to the lost
Missions statement: Our mission is to empower tomorrow's
leaders all over the world to be lighthouses in their
community, revealing the spirit of God that lives inside of
us, and to encourage souls without the light of the holy
spirit, to open their hearts to receive.
Witness
Lighthouse has handed out or mailed over 500 free CD’s to
people in Cincinnati and all over the world. Lighthouse
Ministries held its first gospel hip hop concert at The
Gospel Grille on July 17th, 2003, and witnessed over 200
young people come out in support of this event. On August
14th, 2004, Lighthouse Ministries assembled in Winton
Terrace and offer free food and CD's to the residents of
that neighborhood. Lighthouse Ministries seeks to change
lives for the better.
Neighborhoods
As they state "We are an urban ministry that doesn't mind
assembling in neighborhoods to direct people towards the
path of building a better life, similar to how a lighthouse
guides a ship to its destination. We believe in building
relationships, being role models, and igniting other young
people to be lighthouses in their community. This is a
movement that has positively affected the lives of its
leaders, its members, and the young people of Cincinnati." |
