Releases: | [Son of Slaves and Lords] [The day the world changed] [Sword of 77 Faces] | Info: | Atom tha Immortal is born in New York City in 1980. Atom
moved to the west coast (California) at the age of 3. He
spent most of his life living in the Inland Empire and got
involved in hip hop at the age of 12, when he began b-boying
with a local breakdance crew.
Smoke
Although Atom had listened to rap music most of his life,
his first real introduction to MCing came in 1995, when he
was introduced to Smoke Maltodexterin of Oldominion.
It was Smoke who first inspired Atom to become involved with
hip hop as an MC. Shortly thereafter, he began to learn how
to produce and became a local beatmaker for hire.
Secta 7
In 2002, Atom joined the hip hop crew Secta 7, being
introduced to Lord Knowledge and Man of War. Their styles
and messages meshed and he soon joined the collective.
Debut album
In 2003, after 5 years of production, Atom independently
released his first full-length album, Sword of 77 Faces.
Albums
In July of 2005 he independently released his sophomore
album, The Day the World Changed. And a new project is
already in the making and called "Son of Slaves & Lords"
and is due for release in 2008.
New label
On July 1st, 2007 it was announced that Atom had signed a
contract with Regen Records of the United Kingdom. The label
will re-release his two albums "Sword of 77 Faces" in 2007
and "The Day the World Changed" in 2008. Before releasing
his third album "Son of Slaves & Lords".
