a few years he was the only holy hip hop artist around until
the year 1985, when the Rap Sures released Gospel Rap and
Michael Peace came with RRRock It Right in 1987. The hip hop
artists or crews active in the nineteen eighties are just a
few, this would surely change in the nineteen nineties.
Rock bands
Stephen Wiley started out drumming in a few rock bands in
the nineteen seventies, but he wanted to be a solo artist.
Stephen came to Christ in the end of the seventies and he
wanted to reach the youth of Oklahoma with the gospel.
Rap
In the eighties Stephen Wiley would release four albums:
Bible Break (1985), Rappin for Jesus (1986), Rap It Up
(1988) and Get Real (1989).

continuous basis were:

Praise Center Family Church
The former rapper is now pastor Dr. Stephen L. Wiley, who
founded the Praise Center Family Church in Muskogee and
Tulsa, Oklahoma, together with his wife Dr. Wiley. The
couple has two children: Stefani Renee’ and Andre’
Jackson.
Honoree
The Fellowship of Holy Hip Hop hosts the 8th Annual Holy Hip
Hop Artist Showcase and Music Awards during Holy Hip Hop
Week in Atlanta, Georgia, January 18-19, 2008. Stephen Wiley
is a 2008 Holy Hip Hop Music Awards Honoree receiving the
Ambassador Award.
