Info:Pigeon John is member of the Brainwash Projects and a former member of the crew LA Symphony. The MC is also part of the duo Rootbeer together with Flynn Adam.

Style
He has a unique hip hop style mixing humour and situations taken from everyday life.

Name
His real name is John Dunkin, but he has changed it into John Dust around the time he got married to Harmony in 2002. The MC decided to change his last name to give himself a fresh start. He picked 'Dust' because of a quotation from Genesis 2:7, And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground".

West Coast
He started in the early 1990's at the Good Life, home of the West Coast underground hip hop scene. Every Thursday night Pigeon John would come out of Hawthorne (California) to showcase his songs and skills.

Classic
In the recent years, he's been a part of the groups, the Brainwash Projects and LA Symphony, whose albums, "The Rise and Fall of Brainwash Projects" and "Composition # 1", have been named classic by the underground. After the failed release of LA Symphony's album Call It What You Want in 2001 the MC decided to go solo.

Albums
His solodebut "Pigeon John Is Clueless" was released in 2001. First by his own label The Telephone Company later on in a revised version by Syntax Records in 2002.

New label
Pigeon John signed to his new label Quannum Projects in 2004. In January 2005 he started the recording of his first Quannum Projects album called "Pigeon John and the Summertime Pool Party". The record is released on September 12th, 2006.

Choice
The choice between Gotee Records and Quannum Projects wasn't a financial one. Pigeon John felt he would be better able to express his style of hip hop and artistry through a non-christian label like Quannum Projects.

Guest Appearances
His songs have featured on many compilationalbums and he has made numerous guest appearances.

Ministry
His wife Harmony Star Dust is a county social worker and has a ministry called "Treasures Out of Darkness". It's a nonprofit organisation which helps women in the sex industry to make healthy life choices.
Harmony Dust released her book "Scars and Stilettos: The Transformation of an Exotic Dancer" in 2009 - ISBN 9781854249067.

Treasures Compilation
Pigeon John produced "The Diamond Collection" (2007). The album supports his wife's ministry "Treaures". The compilation features a new Pigeon John song called "No Place" featuring Lij, as well as tracks from other artists.

New EP
After the release of the mixtape "Pigeon John Featuring Pigeon John 2" the MC is currently working on remixes for a digital download only EP "Pigeon John's Jacuzzi After Party ", as mentioned in his blog of August 24th, 2007.

Album
On December 12th, 2007 the MC announces a new album: "I'm hard at work for my next record. And having a grand ol' time! But I need an album title!!! I need your help...we're gonna have an album title contest next year. My goal is for one of my fans to name it!!! We'll put up like 10 top titles and have the world vote for their fav."
