Info: | Theory Hazit is born in Winchester, Kentucky in 1978. When
Theory was fourteen years old, he started recording in the
studio with DJ Hi-Tek, Leroy Brown and associated with MCs
like Holmskillet.
Shows
He also has his own show "Theoretically Speaking with DJ
Hazit", which is airing weekly on HolyCultureRadio.com plus
he produces for various groups and is also a host on "Zone
TV", Cincinnati?s own urban christian video show.
Scribble Jam
On August 13th, 2007 the news came out that Theory Hazit was
Beat Down Champ 2007 of the festival Scribble Jam.
Scribble Jam is a hip hop festival with live performances of
hip hop acts and also features MC battles, DJ battles, etc.
Scribble Jam has been held every year in Cincinnati, Ohio,
since 1996.
Solo
Besides all these activities he is also member of Scribbling
Idiots. His most recent project as a solo artist is the
release of the Necrology series. This will comprise a total
of three albums. Part one was released in July 2004 and part
two in August of 2005.
Beats
The MC also released a CD called "Theory Nasit" (2006). It
contains vocal tracks of mainstream artist Nas over Theory
Hazit's beats. A promotional tool for his beatmaking and
production work.
Label
The MC and producer got signed to Braille's label HipHop Is
Music in March 2006.
Videos
In February 2007 two videos are in the making for the 2007
"Extra Credit" album, they are:
- "Go Home" ("I Just Wanna Go Home")
- "Emit Gninrut" (Turning Time Backwards)
The video "I Just Wanna Go Home" is an animated video by
Yusef and is released on September 14th, 2007 (YouTube.com).
The "Emit Gninrut" video is made by Ajax of Future Shock and
released on April 18th, 2007.
Special Project
Theory Hazit is also part of the release "Falling Tsar
Project" (ILLECT Recordings - 2007). The album is made to
raise funds for eight year-old cancer patient Mason.
Mixtapes
The mixtape "The Special Education of Theory Hazit" (2007)
is the first edition of a series of exclusive mixtapes
HipHop Is Music started releasing in March 2007.
Hazit Remixtapes
The MC released the mixtape "Hip Hop for Dummies" in
November 2007. Theory Hazit refers to the mixtape as a Hazit
Remixtape.
Hazitmentals
Hazitmentals are instrumental albums only. Theory Hazit
released his first Hazitmentals Volume 1 "Politickin' Wit'
Mancini" in 2006. A second volume in the series came out as
"Eastern Shadowboxing" in 2007. This release contains beats
that were used to win The Scribble Jam/Beatdown Beat Battle
2007.
Individually Dynamic
The duo Individually Dynamic are EF Cuttin (DJ) & Theory
Hazit (MC). Their selftiled album was pulled from the vault
for a fund raiser. The album is made up of songs recorded in
2006 and is released in 2009. The original concept of the
album was to take samples that have already been used in
classic hip hop songs and flip 'em. The track "Monsters Of
Ceremony," which features Wonder Brown, does not fall into
the original concept.
Albums
His release "Extra Credit", for HipHop Is Music is released
in May 2007. For 2009 the album "Modern Marvels" is
scheduled for release.
