born Robert Pene, purposes to bring light to the darkness
that invades urban life of all cultures. His passion and
heart for the youth is a direct result of his past
upbringing, his current career, and his future goals. Raised
in American Samoa, and spending his formative years in
Michigan, the soundtrack to APX’s life always included rap
and hip hop music.
Disciple
As a committed disciple of Christ, APX follows the lead of
the Holy Spirit when penning lyrics about faith, family, and
the freedom believer’s have in Christ. Rapping with as much
enthusiasm and energy as any mainstream artist, APX has the
ability to draw the unsaved with his skills and to keep them
entangled in the truth with his sound doctrine.
Student
With several projects currently being promoted, APX balances
music with education – as both a student and a teacher.
Along with teaching Middle School, he is presently working
on toward a Master’s of Arts degree at Azusa Pacific
University, Haggard School of Theology.
Ministry
He is also heavily involved with the Outreach and Evangelism
ministry of Calvary Chapel South Bay (Acts 5:42
ministry).
Albums
APX released his debut album Holy Muzik in 2003. His second
album “Family Tree”, under All Purpose Experience Records
came out in 2004. The record promotes unity in the family of
God while infecting listeners with confident and energetic
flows.
Recent album
His newest effort “Subtle Deception”, released in 2006 is a
strong, sound doctrinal approach at highlighting the Truth
of the Gospel in opposition to man’s version of the
Gospel.
