Rawkus Entertainment was formed by lifelong friends Jarret
Myer and Brian Brater. In 1996 Rawkus began to release full
length albums and singles that would help define the late
nineteen nineties hip hop movement. Between 1996 and 2005
Rawkus sold over 6 million records worldwide. Artists signed
to the label: Mos Def, Talib Kweli etc.

Some highlights include various awards and important
industry accolades. Rawkus' artists have appeared on the
covers of major magazines around the world.
Licensed
Additionally, Rawkus' songs and artists have been used by
major brands such as Nike, Sprite, Lugz, Ecko, Puma and
Converse.
Procussions
The crew signed a deal in 2005 with this record label.
Rawkus Entertainment had been relaunched in December 2005.
