EP
Applejaxx released his second EP "Apple Tree" on iTunes in
2007. The recording is almost similar to 805 P.O.P EP
(2005), except for the tracks "Unite" and "Do Somethin".
Bobbin 4 Apples
The MC stated on June 5th, 2007 to be working on a new
project, the workingtitle of the recording is "Bobbin 4
Apples" to be released on Nureau Ink. No releasedate is
known as of yet. For now the album is postponed to focus on
the following projects.
Mixtapes
A mixtape called "Databass" will be released in 2008. A
volume 2 is on it's way as well.
Debut Album
Applejaxx is gearing up towards his debut album entitled
"The Adventures of Captain EO" (for short use Captain EO).
The album would be later dubbed as "Born Identity" in May
2008. But it was released as "Back 2 The Future" in 2009.
The first official single for the record was "Apple Dapple"
.
Name change
Due to trademark issues Applejaxx needed to change the
albumtitle: "Born Identity". As the rapper explains: "I
spoke to my lawyers about a deal with Universal/EMG. Then I
asked my legal team can I use "Born Identity" as an album
name. Given the popularity of the Bourne series of movies,
books. Universal has a common law trademark protection.
Proceeding with the album will tread on dangerous territory.
So I emailed Universal Pictures and their response was: I
had to "pick another name" for the album. Moving forward
with the album would be a trademark / Lanham Act violation
which deals with consumer confusion. Therefore the album
has to be changed to another name. The theme will remain in
Identity in Christ and the storyline from Databass but will
be under a new title." This title is "Back 2 The Future".
