Info:Dewayne Petty born in 1973, Tallahassee, Florida and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He knows what it means to go through a "dysfunctional childhood". He's been molested to later on in his life end up working the streets as a hustler. But he found an outlet through music, and in 1998 "Pettidee" was born.

Debut album
Pettidee started out on the label Shabach Entertainment making a big impression with his debut Still Alive in 1999. After his second album he left the label and released a Best of album called Ressurections on his own label Soldier Sound Records in 2004.

Crews
He is also part of the crew "3 the God Way", which further consists of B.B. Jay and Demetrus. They released a selftitled album in 2005.

Albums
His first album for Beatmart Recordings is "Thug Love" released on April 4th, 2006. A new record entitled "Resurrections : Past, Present And Future" is scheduled for 2007.

Best Of
The rapper released his Best Of album: "The Greatest Stories Ever Told" in February 2007. It contains unreleased tracks as well.

Movies
Pettidee will also make an appearance in the motion picture "The Second Chance", which is released February 2006. The movie is written and directed by Steve Taylor and has Michael W. Smith in the leading role.

Producer
The MC is also known for his work as a producer. In addition to crafting projects on his own independent label, Soldier Sound Records, the MC has recorded and produced extensively with artists such as Grits and 4th Avenue Jones (Gotee Records), R&B singer Antonio Neal (EMI Gospel), and label mates Japhia Life and DJ Morphiziz (Beatmart Recordings).

Nominations
The rapper is nominated at the 23rd annual Stellar Awards 2008 in the category Rap Hip Hop Gospel CD of the Year for "Resurrections : Past, Present And Future" (2007).

Videos
Pettidee released his video "I'm A Vet" on April 6th, 2007. Also of the album "Resurrections: Past, Present & Future" (2007) comes the video "All Alone". Pettidee explains: "It's about the Darfur genocide in Africa. We just shot a video for it in Africa, and a lot of eyes will be opened by this video."

Last Album
The MC is currently working (July 2008) on his new album scheduled for release in 2009 on Soldier Sound Records. The MC states that this will be his last album.
