Info:Peace 586 hiphop pioneer, solo artist and producer. Established his name as part of the Freedom of Soul crew in the beginning of the nineteen nineties.

Start
Peace 586 started out in the crew J.C. and the Boyz as MC Peace. They released their first album Never Give Up (1989) on Broken Records. The labelname used would later change into Brainstorm (see labelprofile).

Joining
The MC tells how he joined his first crew: "I became part of J.C. And The Boyz by meeting Dave Guzman [MC Scroller] through my brother at a church. I told Dave I could rhyme and mix and wanted to do things for the Lord! We hooked up about three months later and it was a done deal."

Freedom Of Soul
Peace is not to be found on J.C. And The Boyz' second album "Chill 4 Awhile" (1992). By then the MC already had joined "Freedom of Soul" and released the classic album "Caught In A Land of Time" (1991).

Name
During the first album of J.C. And The Boyz the artist is called MC Peace. This would be turned short into "Peace" during the "Caught In A Land of Time" album (1991). And he would later add the 586 as "Peace Fiveightysix" on the second Freedom of Soul album The 2nd Comin' (1994).

586
The MC explains the addition of 586: "The 586 is when I gave my life to Christ, May 1986, 5/86. This is when I became "Peace"."

Brainstorm
The label Brainstorm was the first label to bring quality hip hop in the holy hip hop scene, during the early nineteen nineties, with artists as: Freedom of Soul, SFC and Dynamic Twins.
Peace 586 states about this pioneering time:
"We just wanted to make music, I mean good music that everyone would be satisfied with. We never planned for it to turn out the way it did. Gene was definately a genius. [Editor: Gene Eugene co-founder of the label]

Tunnel Rats
Peace 586 is mostly active as a producer nowadays and long time member of the Tunnel Rats. He has made the beats for and co-produced their classic debut album "Experience" (1996).

LPG
The producer himself is most proud of another renowned album, which is LPG's "The Earthworm" from 1995. Peace 586 says: "The Earthworm by LPG that's my favorite album, I've ever worked on. I did every track, except the title [song]."

Friends
The friendship with LPG started quite early as Peace 586 explains: "I've known Dax and Jurny [Big] since JC & The Boyz. We used to go to youth service at their church. So I been knowing them since I was like 19 and Dax was 16 in high school. When I was recording "Caught In A Land Of Time" I shouted them out and I was the first dude to respect them on wax. Then they helped and participated on the "2nd comin", then the Earthworm was birthed, the rest is history."

Gene Eugene
The album "586" (2001) is dedicated to the producer and founder of the label Brainstorm, Gene Eugene. He passed away on March 20th, 2000. The track "You Hear" featuring Sup the Chemist is in honor of Gene, who had an open mind towards hip hop and gave many artists the opportunity to release a record through Brainstorm.

Albums
After his last Freedom Of Soul album The 2nd comin' (1994) the MC released his solo debut album "The Risen Son" in 1996. His sophomore album "586" released on Sphere of Hip Hop Records in 2000 would be re-released through Uprok Records in 2001. His last solo album "Generations" (Uprok Records) is from 2003.

New Project
In May 2009 the hip hop veteran Peace 586 announces a beat tape entitled "heAr" set for release in 2009. The capital A represents the volume (series).
